Two minutes too much for your attention span? Try the "Fun Size" version here!
My wife loves me so much, she made an entire site to support me.
We won? WE WON!

10/29 - So we're back at Haunt, and I'd Tweeted this:
"Nothing better than dinner in the middle of Fog Alley on the Ghost Town Grill patio. Even if I do have to cut my own meat."
A few minutes later, I suddenly hear a familiar voice behind me, and Ari's grinning at something over my shoulder. "Let's do this!"
And so it came to pass that #JeffCutOurMeat!
Obviously Fog Alley wasn't the *best* location for documentary photos - and video was right out ("glorious high-definition" or otherwise). We'd been trying to make this happen since opening night, and Jeff had been trapped in, well, Trapped. So this wasn't quite what I'd planned, but carpe noctem, y'know? Fortunately I'd already been working on a properly epic, totally accurate, big-budget dramatic (pre-)(re-)creation of the #JeffCutOurMeat event, coming soon (I just need to figure out how to sew a 1/16 scale sparkly little red coat)...
Thanks for being such a good sport about all of this silliness, Jeff.
Oh, and I still have a bag full of the #CutOurMeatJeff logo buttons (did I mention how cheap they were, even in bulk?). If you wanted one and we missed each other in the fog,
ping me (email/Twitter/FB) and I'll give you the address to send an SASE.

9/22 - only a few days left until Opening Night! Met with Jeff on the Farm yesterday to sort out a few details, and there's definitely going to be some juggling involved to make it happen on what's going to be a very busy evening for everyone. We'll do our best to get high-quality video given the reception venue (outdoors in the middle of Fiesta Village, after nightfall). Fortunately, it looks like at least a couple of my tripod-mount adapters are wide enough to hold on to the iPhone XXL. :-)
The other contest prizes were donated to Make-A-Wish as planned, and apparently very well-received.

Late tonight (9/5), Knott's announced that we won! #CutOurMeatJeff is *on*!
Details will be forthcoming as they're sorted out, both here and on Twitter/FB.
Thanks again to everyone that kept voting (despite my pessimistic prediction after the YouTube takedown on 8/18, *both* our original video entry *and* the second photo entry with this URL ended up getting well over 30k votes by the last day) and otherwise supported the cause! Special hat-tip to Uncle Mike, the Original Haunt Fan, who ran a fine campaign himself.
And as I'd Tweeted a few days ago, thanks to *everyone* at Knott's, from the team that created Halloween Haunt way back in 1973 to the ones keeping it alive (undead?) today.
Designers, monsters (street *and* maze), makeup artists, builders, blackouts, maze sign-holders, dancers, stuntmen, writers, techs, ride ops, security, wardrobe, funnel-cake makers, artists, merch floggers (even those annoying blinky things), puke patrol (oh, *man*), the guy that keeps the fog machines topped up. *Everyone*. Thank you all!
Thanks also to Mark Sevi at VisionStrike for the logo!
